The first of these is a historic town worth at least half a day’s visit. The route covers 25 miles, but if you stop at every beach, it could easily take a full week.

GREEN MOUNTAIN RIBBON IN VERMONT

Spanning about 90 miles, Route 100 in Vermont is the perfect highway for your next New England road trip. The road is nice and straight so you don’t have to fight curves and as you drive, you will get to admire the Green Mountains. This road actually runs along the entire length of Vermont from north to south. If you are short on time, be sure to at least take your trip between Waterbury and Ludlow. Along the way, stop in Waitsfield and Warren.

Get another view of Cape Cod Bay when you take a road trip along the Old King’s Highway, which is MA6A. As you travel along, you will get to see greenery, gorgeous winding roads, and some of the best views of Cape Cod Bay you could possibly find. Along the way, you will get to explore quaint New England villages. While the route is only 34 miles long, you will likely want to stop to buy antiques and books, turning it into a full-fledged road trip.
